The Forever beta caps at level 30 (beta ends Oct 21, 2026). This path is trimmed to what's reachable now; the full level 1–60 track, endgame chapters and raid prep return at launch on Nov 4, 2026. The A rating is BuildForge's own — Icy Veins' Forever tier lists are marked Coming Soon and Maxroll doesn't cover Forever.

Your progress
Tick objectives off as you complete them
- 1
[1–9] Learn the totem rhythm: Rockbiter on, totems down, shock the casters
0/4- Rockbiter WeaponLevel 1
Flat attack-power imbue from minute one — your weapon buff until Windfury exists.
- Earth ShockAs trained
Interrupt plus damage in one button — your signature spell for every caster mob you ever meet.
- Lightning ShieldAs trained
Charges snap off on every hit — melee uptime is mana income, keep it refreshed.
- Strength of Earth / Grace of AirAs trained
Totems are stat sticks for the whole party — drop them at pull, not on vibes.
- 10
[10–14] First talent points: mana before crit
0/1- Ancestral KnowledgeRanks 1–5
Intellect scaling — a bigger pool funds shocks, totems and every re-drop between pulls.
Reward: Level 10: talent points begin — one per level, 51 total at 60.
- 15
[15–19] Commit to the two-hander
0/2- Two-Handed Axes and MacesRanks 1–5
Extra crit with exactly the weapons Enhancement should carry — buy the biggest, slowest mace or axe you can afford.
- Weapon upgradePriority
Slow, heavy max damage is your whole scaling model — a two-hander upgrade beats any other slot at this level.
- 20
[20–24] Ghost Wolf era + the crit engine
0/3- Thundering StrikesRanks 1–5
Crit per rank — feeds Flurry next band, and crit is the currency every Enhancement number is priced in.
- Ghost WolfLevel ~20
Faster travel — Forever has no flying, so the wolf is your interstate.
- Fire TotemQuest ~20
Classic-style totem quest line continues — verify exact levels in the linked guide.
Reward: Level ~20: Ghost Wolf + Fire Totem — travel and totems both expand.
- 25
[25–29] Hit the Forever 16-point capstone milestone
0/2- FlurryRanks 1–5
Crits grant attack speed — with Thundering Strikes banked, the uptime is near-permanent. This is where swings start feeling like bursts.
- 16-point capstoneReserved
Forever adds a brand-new one-point ability at 16 points into a tree. Check the exact effect in the beta talent calculator — values are still tuning.
Reward: Level ~25: your 16th talent point unlocks the new Forever capstone ability in your main tree.
- 30
[30] WINDFURY. The spec clicks here.
0/3- Windfury WeaponRanks 1–2
The iconic deep-Enhancement imbue — your swings proc bonus WF attacks that hit like a second character. Rockbiter retires the day you train this.
- Earth Shock cadencePractice
WF procs + shock spam is the full combat model — learn the mana rhythm now, before raids price it against you.
- Water TotemQuest ~30
Mana Spring and Healing Stream unlock — party sustain from your totem bag; verify the quest level in the linked guide.
Reward: Windfury Weapon live: swing-damage graphs double the moment the first proc chain lands.

Forever reworked every loot table, so items marked Classic-era reference are stat benchmarks, not Forever drop locations — the linked Icy Veins guide tracks real drops.

Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros · Crafted · Eye of Sulfuras from Ragnaros
Off-Hand
Two-handed mace occupies both hands — this slot stays empty; the 1H + shield pair is a situational dungeon swap, not the raid kit
Ranged

Stat weights
What to chase on every item
- 1
Strength (Attack Power)
Scales Stormstrike, Windfury procs and every swing — the single best stat on paper.
- 2
Hit (unified)
Forever merges melee and spell hit into one system — gear hit once and both halves of your kit benefit.
- 3
Critical Strike (unified)
Feeds Flurry, WF windows and shock-synergy talents — effectively permanent attack-speed uptime.
- 4
Agility
Melee crit secondary — cheaper than crit itself on mail pieces.
- 5
Intellect
Totems and shocks burn mana — pool size is totem uptime and shock cadence.
- 6
Stamina
You're in melee range by choice — survivability is DPS time.
Button order
Your action bar
Follow top to bottom — earlier steps take precedence over later ones.
Pull
- Step 1: Drop Strength of Earth + Grace of Air at pull — Mana Spring when the casters are burning — not mid-fight.
- Step 2: Rockbiter before Windfury exists; Windfury Weapon the day you train it.
- Step 3: Open with a swing, then Earth Shock the first cast — interrupt discipline starts pull one.
Standard rotation
- Step 1: Swing with WF procs; Earth Shock on cooldown between swings — that cadence is your damage.
- Step 2: Stormstrike first when it's up — its bonus feeds your next two nature shocks.
- Step 3: Refresh totems when they expire or the pack moves — mid-pull re-drops are mana suicide.
- Step 4: Lightning Shield kept charged — melee uptime is mana income.
Burst / Sustain
- Step 1: Stormstrike + double-shock chain on cooldown windows — this is the burst check.
- Step 2: Flame Shock on runners, Frost Shock on kites — the shock kit covers every movement problem.
- Step 3: Mana dipping: Mana Spring down, slower shock cadence — never stop swinging, the totems carry the sustain.
Zero guessing
Watch-outs
The mistakes that cost levels, kills and raid slots — flagged before you make them.
Camp buffs don't stack with matching class buffs — coordinate at camp so your food buff isn't overriding (or overridden by) a class buff.
No flying mounts in Forever — Ghost Wolf is the commute; budget ground travel between dungeons and totem quests.
Forever's unified hit/crit system means every old melee hit-cap table is wrong. Use the linked calculator, not muscle memory.
Totem discipline: re-dropping totems burns the mana your shocks need — drop at pull, refresh only when a totem dies or the fight shifts.
Threat is classic-style: Windfury proc chains spike threat — your tank's Sunder count is your permission slip, not the first swing.
No dual-wielding in this kit — that's a later-era invention. Don't chase two one-handers; the slow two-hander IS the spec.
Ruleset choice (Normal/PvP/RP) is per-character and permanent — pick before you invest. Raids don't open until December 9, so there's no reason to rush 60; the nine new dungeons are the gearing funnel.
